The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Orange County residents regarding the residency of 53-year-old Wilbert Pittman, who has reported a move to a residence on Clark Street in Newburgh.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Pittman as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Pittman had sexual contact, intercourse and deviate sexual intercourse with a 15- and 16-year-old girl in July 2006. He was convicted of third-degree rape in October that year and sentenced to 10 years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Newburgh City Police Department.
